Jim Flora -Artist

This great illustrator, Jim Flora, was born in January 25, 1914 in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Flora is known mostly for his jazz and classical album covers' illustrations that he drew in the 1940's for the Columbia Records, also for the RCA Victor records in the 1950's. The covers featured these very playful and unusual characters, who look like they were having so much fun partying around. Besides the album covers, he also illustrated 17 children books and magazine covers. He passed away in 1998. You can read his full bio in the University of Connecticut's site.
