Guess My Nickname?

Origin for nicknames. Have you ever wonder why Peggy is a nickname for Margaret and Bill for William? There is an explanation on how the nicknames started. I have seen a more detailed site with more deep explanation, unfortunately I cannot find that site. I still hope to find that site. There was a really good information. But Wikipedia has part of the explanation that I was looking for under "Nicknames for People" The most unusual nickname that I find amusing is "Dick".... Even famous actors use it. The first two links below explain the origin of the nickname.

"As Seen On TV" - True Or False?

You know those annoying "As Seen On TV" commercials? Do you sometimes wonder if the product is the "real thing", or just one of those non-sense? Sometimes I see a product that says "not sold at stores", and I do see it at the store.

Anyway, for those who are curious about certain products, here are the results that of the reviews. I am not familiar with the site, but i hope the reviews are accurate.

No Post Today Bec..

HELLO,

I prepared a post for today, but I'm having major problems with the script. I spent about 3 hours trying to fix it.. It's 2:44 AM now and I'm too tired to look for something else to post... Hopefully, I'll be able to fix it later on

Im hitting the ZZZ land now.

Note: This post got switched with the post below. the (list) post below should have been above this post, but I don't know how to fix it so far. I had just finished the "nickname list" post.

What Is Your Nickname?

Origin for nicknames. Have you ever wonder why Peggy is a nickname for Margaret and Bill for William? There is an explanation on how the nickname started. I have seen a more detailed site with a deeper explanation, unfortunately I cannot find that site. I still hope to find that site. There was a really good information. But Wikipedia has part of the explanation that I was looking for under "Nicknames for People". The first two links have explanations. The rest are some links that I picked up from the web. Pardon me if there are grammatical mistakes. It's after 2AM and my brain isn't exactly where it should be.

A day after, with the help of a friend, I was able to finally fix this post that I had intended to post yesterday. Yeah! This should be today's post, but it got switched with the post in which I said that I have problems with this post...So these two posts have been switched (I don't know how to fix that, but it's no biggie).

How The White House Was Built

The white house is in the news a lot these days, thanks to our new president Obama. I thought it would be interesting to see the history of the white house architecturally from the beginning to the present. You'll see more topics if you go to the main page, I started with the architecture because I thought it was an interesting topic. Among other interesting subjects that are in the main page are music and musical performances. I have never seen these type of information on the internet. . Most of the photos are too tiny to publish here.

I have a new Photoshop CS4 which I'm not used to yet, it took me a long time to crop this image! It is very different than the older ones. Instead of cropping and do what I want, it in 5 minutes as usual, it took me about 30 or so minutes! I need to study this new version asap!

If you writing an essay, I think this site would be an excellent choice for it. The photograph above is the first known photograph of the white house from 1846.

Pencils

This is interesting site. I've seen it about two years ago, but boy, could not remember the link. So I just finally found it. You'll find the history of the pencil and photographs of these pencil I guess you could call it the evolution of the pencil I hope I have not posted this already. It doesn't look like I have. The pencil above is the oldest pencil that is known off. The rest are regular looking pencils from different companies.

I wish that the gallery had the year of the pencils.
