Where's the Fink?

I admit, I'm not a big fan of the Rat Fink . But I know a lot of people who are. Since Halloween is almost at the door's step, it seems a like good timing to post this. Ed Roth was a popular talented hot rod cartoonist, who drew hot rods with the Rat Fink character. A biography is included in this official site.

I, on the other hand, was a fan the instant I found out about him! I didn't grow up in the 60's, although I did hang out at the beach quite a bit when I was younger. Ed Roth, as he is finally getting the popularity he deserves, is becoming known as one of the most prolific "California Kool" cultural visionaries of the 20th century. His impact bridges the yawning divide between low-brow culture and high society fine art. It's not all about the rat. He made an indelible impact in the automotive industry. Von Dutch and Ed Hardy used to work for Ed Roth. We should all be talking about and respecting this guy- so thanks for your post!

I agree that he did make a big impact. I saw quite a few sites about those cars, and the impact that he made on them. Isn't it kind of phenomenal? Thanks for sharing your view about Ed Roth.
